We were exploring Brickell when we spontaneously walked into Mammamia to check out their Gelato. The friendly guy behind the counter let me know which flavors were non-dairy. In fact, the entire middle case of fruity sorbettos are all vegan. I sampled the Soursop which was light in flavor. Then I sampled the sugar-free Dark Chocolate and that rocked my world! We were still pretty full from dinner so we didn't get dessert that evening but planned to come back the next night. Sticking to our word, we came back to Mammamia. Already decided on getting the sugar-free Dark Chocolate, I sampled a few other flavors to figure out what to pair my first choice with. I tasted the Watermelon which I really liked, Grapefruit which I liked as well, and Dragonfruit which was light in flavor. I decided on Grapefruit because I rarely see that flavor and was curious if the citrusy flavor would go well with Dark Chocolate. It did and I'm a fan. https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/mammamia-gelato-brickell-miami?select=GjQlit_kyYOAXVCYkUMP-A Hubby found some unique flavors which he enjoyed. I'm sure he'll write his own review. That said, we were shocked to find out that our small cups of gelato cost $9 each. I guess that's on us for not asking for the price beforehand. But after a quick search for other gelato places in Brickell, it seems to be similar pricing. They definitely tried to upsell us too. For instance, when I selected my flavors, the guy behind the counter automatically grabbed a waffle cup. Because he did that without asking, I figured it was included in the price. I let him know that I didn't need it and he asked "are you sure? It was just freshly made" but when I asked if it was vegan, he let me know it wasn't and then removed the waffle cup. Then when Hubby selected his flavors, the same guy asked Hubby if he wanted a waffle bowl. Hubby asked if it cost extra and the guy said yes. So Hubby skipped the waffle bowl. I thought it was interesting that the guy tried to drive the price up by adding the waffle bowl to my order before asking me. I don't fault the guy though because I doubt he works on commission. All that said, is this place good? Yes. Does it have interesting flavors? Yes. Would I come back? Maybe...if I wanted to treat myself to pricey gelato. That sugar-free Dark Chocolate is pretty bomb!

The gelato is very good. Loved the limón flavor even though I don't usually prefer fruit or citrus flavors. The dark chocolate is very nice and dark, rich but not too sweet. Maybe it's because I'm from out of town but I was shocked by the prices. I also was disappointed that the server kept offering toppings making me think they were included with the cone price however then he charged me for each one. And I didn't even want them in the first place

This Gelato is next level! After eating here, I was surprised to see the reviews so low. The customer service was off the charts! The guy serving me, Juan, was super helpful, letting me try a few flavors, giving me his recommendations, and carrying a conversation all while being efficient. The Gelato was so good, I was halfway through it by the time I got a picture, Lol! The scenery was modern and very inviting!

Martina welcomed us with such great service! My family enjoyed the gelato, especially the pistachio, hazelnut, and biadock. There is a small seating area with four little tables and a few chairs. There are no restrooms, just FYI. It's a cute place overall and a nice pit stop to cool down. Prices are a bit steep, about $9.50 for a small cup with 2 flavors and $12 with a cone. We were expecting it, since it's in the middle of Brickell. Would come again to say hi and if I needed a break from the heat.

While I was out experiencing the Miami nightlife, my friend and I ended up running into Mammamia in Brickell. I was so curious why they were so open late, and since everything was winding down, we stepped inside to get some gelato. I loved the setup inside, it was very small and intimate, but the decor definitely stood out. From the grass on the wall to the huge lips that were there as well, the perfect place to take a date after a night on the town. Service here was great, Juan was our cashier, and he was very patient with us and helped us while we sampled the different flavors they had available. After asking us a few questions about what flavors we were into, he was able to make suggestions, and we were finally able to choose flavors we were satisfied with. Now I have never had bad gelato and this place was no different. The toppings available just amplified the whole experience. It was super tasty and a great way to wind down after a hectic night out, the two flavors I picked were ferrero rocher and oreo cookies on a waffle cone. I could have eaten a gallon of that stuff, lol!

Some of the best (and most expensive) Gelato in brickell. My favorite is pistachio but they have many other options to try. Recommend!

Mammamia Gelato at the Brickell location is super busy during the night hours and they are open quite late. People are still enjoying the night in Miami. We all finished having dinner and decided to take a walk around the area to find something to eat for dessert. Stopped in and had to wait in line for a bit but I have to say they made our gelatos look super pretty. Very Instagram-worthy and also delicious. I liked their waffle cones with nuts around them. After getting two scoops I had finished it all. Maybe next time I should get three scoops from here since it was just super refreshing and nice to enjoy. We are our dessert outside while walking around in the nighttime. It was great!
